Emergency Medical Services

The Pilot Rock Fire District provides emergency medical services to the City of Pilot Rock and surrounding 600 square miles in the form of a Quick Response Team (QRT). The "QRT" consists of Certified First Responders any where from Emergency Medical Responders (EMR), Emergency Medical Technician's (EMT), Paramedics and Registered Nurses. The Pilot Rock Fire District QRT unit coordinates with Pendleton Fire & Ambulance as our transporting ALS agency to the hospital. Recently, the Fire District upgraded our cardiac monitor/defibrillator with help from a Wildhorse Foundation grant. This grant money helped the QRT to purchase a new Zoll E-series monitor/defibrillator that also takes blood pressures, blood oxygen saturations, and pulse rates. This helps our medics to provide a better quality of patient care to the people of Pilot Rock.
